CHILE-I LA


(Chile La is a mountain pass in between Ha and Paro valleys in Bhutan.)

Thirteen thousand feet
high above the sea,
In my solitude
I turn deaf in whistling wind,
I turn blind in waves of clouds,
I turn dumb in the depth of silence!

Dumbness shouts
About worthless ego.
I hear in my deafness
The roar of galaxial flow!
I see in my blindness,
Big bangs and scattering sparks!

I melt in the altitude, I sink in the whirlpool of silence!
I feel the pleasure of darkness!
