ILLUSIONS

Once I drowned
In the waves of illusions;
That struck the rock of my faith,
Under the spell of anesthetic drugs!

That froze my nerves
To tear and spy my brain,
To pull out
The root of a cancerous tree!

Gods, angels and spirits
Floated towards me,
To join in a play
Of make and break!

I heard the roar of bomber planes
That flew as a swarm,
To burn out the world
Crowded with venomous souls!

Illusions came as a mighty hawk
To tear my heart,
Eat my flesh
And play with my skull!

I was on a mirage
Racing towards the frontiers of sense;
Till the break of a second
That pulled out the veil !
